Seguro que en alguna ocasión has ojeado uno de aquellos libros antiguos en donde existían muchas ilustraciones de las que se hacían a mano en ese tiempo o quizá con fotografías en blanco y negro. Sin embargo todos esos libros no dejaban de ser nada más que objetos bonitos y hasta ahí nada más. Pero como para el ingenio humano no existen límites, este día me encuentro con el trabajo que realiza un artista llamado Brian Dettmer con este tipo de libros. En verdad genial.
El trabajo artístico de Brian se basa en tomar un libro de aquellos antiguos en donde existen ilustraciones y tras mirarlo de otra forma empieza a trabajar sobre el cortando paginas y paginas de ilustraciones para darles volumen tridimensional con las mimas páginas del libro.
Al final el resultado como es obvio resulta ser una obra de arte maravillosa que sin pensarlo mucho deja a más de uno con la boca abierta y el gusto de hacerse de una de estas obras.
