Una importante cantidad de usuarios pertenecientes a la comunidad ofimática hace tiempo que venía solicitando un lavado de cara, principalmente un completo rediseño a la interfaz de usuario de la suite completa.
En base a esto el equipo de experiencia de usuario de OpenOffice, está trabajando actualmente en un proyecto denominado Renaissance, en español equivalente a Renacimiento, todo esto en beneficio de cada uno de los usuarios y las diferentes aplicaciones.
El prototipo con el cual ya se cuenta fue desarrollado en tan solo seis semanas por dos ingenieros y dos desarrolladores, disponiendo de variadas e interesantes funcionalidades y opciones de implementación.

obviamente le falta pulirlo un poco mas, pero me gusta y tal ves sea criticado por mucho usuarios tal como paso con kde4 sin embargo kde4 ya es muy usado y muy querido por muchos usuarios
